With the arrival of population ageing, the 13th Five-Year Plan and the government work reports delivered on NPC&CPPCC lately have both set forth requirements for developing the charity cause in an emphatic and explicit tone, which has immediately aroused enthusiasm and debate widely in the public. It is necessary to drive innovations in social governance and promote sound development of the charity cause and volunteer services lawfully, to protect the legitimate rights and interests of women, children and senior citizens, both the Plan and the work reports proposed.
China is already an ageing society. Being a highly responsible corporate citizen, the Group feels duty bound to carry forward the Chinese spirit, inherit the Chinese civilization, care and serve for the elderly, provide them with a whole set of high-quality services and allow them to enjoy a worry-free happy life. On the basis of finance, culture and the Internet, the Group has decided to take upon elderly service as a lifelong career, develop an elderly service industrial chain combining wealth management, tourism, recreation, shopping mall and nursing home and become the largest elderly service provider in China.
The Group has shown high regards for and taken an active part in charity since its establishment. In June 2016, when Funing and other parts of Jiangsu Province were hit by a tornado, the Group donated and delivered money and supplies to the disaster-hit region immediately. In early 2017, the Group launched a charity foundation in Heilongjiang, to help elderly people living alone, unattended children in rural areas and seriously ill patients, among other disadvantaged people in Northeast China.
In Shanghai, the metropolitan city where the Group is headquartered, to contribute to charity is of course something the Group will choose and be determined to do. The Group has contacted charity and non-profit organizations based in Shanghai widely in recent months and finally decided to work with Shanghai Senior Citizens Foundation to launch Zhongyan Elderly Rehabilitation Foundation. And here comes the grand launch ceremony of the foundation today. This marks a great gratification to the Group, a milestone in the Group’s plan to develop the elderly care industry and charity and the best testament to the Group’s social influence and well-earned reputation!
