Along with the rollout of the Belt and Road Initiative, the Group has quickened the pace of industry development, pursued new trades and opportunities and strengthened trade ties with countries along the Belt and Road, in step with the development pace of the country in recent years.
In this context, Mr. Li Weilei and Ms. Wang Ning, advisors to the Group, attended the first Belt and Road China-Russia Cross-border Industry Fusion Conference, China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and discussed new opportunities in economic development of both countries under the Belt and Road framework on behalf of the Group. In the meantime, commissioned by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Group entered into an agreement with ChinaInternational ExhibitionCenter(CIEC) on the 10th APEC Small&Medium Enterprises Technology Conference and Fair 2018 on December 6. This was one of the achievements made by being present at APEC twice. The Group will work with China-Russia Innovative Development Center and attract exhibitors to the Russia pavilion of the fair.
China-Russia Cross-border Conference taps into new opportunities alongthe Belt and Road
The conference was co-organized by the Management Committee of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Shenyang Zone, Shenyang branch of CCPIT, Shenyang Esilu E-commerce Co., Ltd, Shenyang branch of Harbin Bank and the Institute for Contemporary China and Russia Regional Economy Studies. Zhongyan Group was invited to the conference as one of renowned cross-border e-commerce companies. On the same day, 20-odd Russian companies were also present, bringing with them 150 Russian companies with an intention to be registered in Shenyang Free Trade Zone.
Bai Ming, the head of theInstitute for International Market Studies, the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, MOFCOM, Chen Kexian, Deputy Director of General Office of the Open-up Leadership Group of Liaoning provincial government and Zhang Jinghui, Vice Mayor of Shenyang addressed the conference.
The conference addressed a number of topics, including new opportunities and challenges in China-Russia cross-border industry development in Liaoning Free Trade Zone under the Belt and Road framework, new ways of international capacity cooperation and new paths of China-Russia cross-border industry fusion and development.
In his speech, Bai Ming, citing the report delivered totheopeningofthe19thNationalCongressofthe CPC, said that pilot free trade zones will be given more discretion in reform and the possibility of free trade ports will be considered. Liaoning Pilot Free Trade Zone, Shenyang Zone included, enjoys a privilege in promoting ties between China and Russia and should convert such privilege into its strength in internationalcooperation and competition.

Facilitate APEC Technology Conference and Fair and Eye Integrated Development of Regional Economy

The 10th APEC Small&Medium Enterprises Technology Conference and Fair, co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the provincial government of Liaoning, is scheduled to take place in Shenyang, Liaoning between June 27 and 29, 2018. June 27 is the World Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day and of special meaning to boost the growth of SMEs. It is estimated that 1,800 booths will be provided, including 400 for foreign exhibitors.
The APEC Technology Conference and Fair is an important cooperation program launchedin China under the APEC framework. It covers 21 APEC Summit economies and aims to provide a platform for all APEC members to exhibit their new technologies and products, foster exchange of technologies and economic and trade ties among SMEs from all APEC members and deliver win-win development. It is more than an occasion of technical exchange and economic and trade cooperation, but also an important communication and cooperation platform for “resource sharing, communication, exchange of experience and dialogue” and is of significance to boost cooperation among APEC members.
